Review: Etude House Bubble Hair Color #5 Sweet Orange

Bubble Hair Coloring is a new and easy way of coloring your hair permanently. The exciting part is that, you only have to pump bubbles and massage it on your head. Similar to the process of shampooing your hair.

Just when I have decided to have my hair dyed, I tried to check some reviews from the internet. I have seen several blogs which features Etude House's Bubble hair color. Therefore, I started looking for online tutorials on how to use the product. I find it so easy so one day, I went to the store to buy the product.

ETUDE HOUSE says: Macro bubble booster helps your hair to absorb contents more efficiently so that quality of your hair and color will be better.

Etude House offers seven colors to choose from: #1 Deep Black, #2 Dark Brown, #3 Natural Brown, #4 Wine Red, #5 Sweet Orange, #6 Gold Blonde, and #7 Mocha Pink.

Since I have a very long and very black hair, it has been a hard decision for me to choose which color should I get for myself. My hair has not been dyed EVER! I am so afraid to go very very light.. So I decided to go for the #2 Dark Brown hair color. However, the sales lady from Etude House convinced me to try the #5 Sweet Orange hair color. Aside from the fact that this is the only color available that day, she told me that my hair is so black and getting this color might not be to very loud for me.

In the end, I bought the hair color #5 as recommended by the sales lady. I got it for P378.00. Though I'm kinda nervous on what will happen, I have gathered all the guts that I have and started to try the product. So let's go ahead and start the review!!

What's inside the box:

1. a 30mL sachet of hair coloring (no.1),
2. a 50mL bottle with pump containing the oxidizer (no.2),
3. a 10mL sachet of silky perfumed conditioner,
4. Mini ziplock which includes gloves and cape.
5. User guide/manual (written in Korean language)

Since the manual was written in Korean language, it's a good thing that they have included drawings of the step-by-step procedure.

To help you with the process, here’s a step by step guide on how to color your hair BUBBLE style:
  1. Pour the sachet of hair coloring (#1) into the pumping bottle with oxidizer (#2). Screw the cap back on, including the stopper to lock.
  2. Tilt the from side to side about 5-10 time to mix the solution. Do not shake it! You would notice that the solution would heat up a bit.
  3. Remove the stopper.
  4. Pump out the bubbles and apply it evenly on your hair. Start from your roots to your tips. Massage your scalp so that the color would spread. It’s as simple as applying shampoo. Remember to use up all of the contents in the bottle so that your hair would be completely covered in foam.
  5. Let the foam stay on your head for 30 minutes to an hour, depending on how much you want the color to take into effect. As much as I wanted to let it stay for an hour, I let mine stay on for 45 mins only because it's getting itchy.
  6. Rinse your hair. Use the Silky Perfumed Treatment as a conditioner to make your hair soft and smooth. It works like magic! ahahahah!
  7. Dry your hair and see the results.
So here are the results of my EH Bubble Hair Color in #5 Sweet Orange!

The color is good.. Just the way I wanted it. However, I think my very black hair needs to be bleached first in order to get the right color. I had colored the top part of my hair, but unluckily, the tips were not fully colored. THEREFORE, the bubble hair color would still vary according to hair types. :)

Pros
  •  easy and fun to use
  •  it works (depending on the hair type)
  •  comes with the gloves and cape

Cons
  • It's kinda hot on my scalp, kinda itching and a little stingy but nothing's really bad though.
  • My hair was super dry after I colored it.
The color might not look what you expected from the start but then after you wash your hair it's all good.
  • The packaging and manual are written in Korean.
  • Will I repurchase this product? YES!

    Just got my hair dyed

    Hello guys!

Have you ever got this feeling that you need to change something or to do a make over for yourself? OMG! For me, it's a very big YES!

I've long wanted to get my hair dyed coz I have a long and VERY black hair.. I usually think of myself as a witch! ahahaha!

I wanted to get a hair which is something browninsh or reddish. Picking the right color for me is the most frustrating part. I have tried to google some pictures and imagine myself wearing the same hair color! AArggh! I hate it!

The second thing that I've considered is how can i get my hair dyed. Should I go to a salon or should I do it myself? This is the first time that I will be doing this, therefore, I need a lot of courage. After some time, I have decided to do it myself since going to a parlor is kinda expensive.

Third part, what brand of hair dye should I use? I need something inexpensive, easy to use, available in drug stores/department stores and lastly, it should be very effective. For this, I have tried to read some blog posts and reviews until the bubble hair color of Etude House caught my attention.

After several weeks of deciding, google-ing ang youtube-ing on how to dye one's hair using the bubble hair color, I have finally bought it and tried it! I'll be doing a review of this bubble hair color.

I have noticed that my hair color has changed a little and I am unsatisfied with it. I want it even brighter than what I've got.

Celebrating my Natal day -March 23

My birthday for this year has been the "not-so-gOod" birthday for me.. But I am still thankful that God has given me this day to spend another year with my family and friends..

I was working on a night shift; therefore,  i was at the office, working, when the clock strikes 12am. My workmates made this picture for me and this has been seen by my officemates as it was uploaded to our office's database. hahaha!

*credits to Jember for creating this birthday picture :)

When my shift has ended, I went straight to my school to submit a project to my professor for the completion of my grades. It was raining that day but kinda warm, and I felt so irritated. So when I was in school, I was so pissed off finding out that my professor is not coming to school. Hay! I was so upset because of this thing!! I went out of school to get something for myself. I'm thirsty, I'm hungry! I went to a mall to get my stress reliever.. Ta-daa!!!

*Chatime Milk Tea with Grass Jelly

While I was at Chatime, I received an SMS from my professor asking me to leave the project on her desk and she'll be arriving in school in an hour. Arrgh! Just because I am desperate for my classcard, I went back to school just to leave and submit the damn project. I waited for an hour to personally submit my work; however, she did not appear in an hour. Therefore, I left my papers on her desk, left a note for the professor, then leave! I'll just go back next week for this! so much time wasted!

I went home to get some rest. My family and I have planned to go to SM Mall of Asia for the pyrolimpics event. Guess what! It was so traffic that day! We were driving for 3 hours! My butt has been aching, I wanna do some streching! OMG! The event has started and we are still stucked in the traffic jam!

*admiring the fireworks display inside our car

JUST MY LUCK! Upon reaching our destination, there were no available parking spaces, all restaurants are fully booked! We've got nothing! Nothing's left for us! We ended up taking our plan B. We went to Metrowalk Ortigas for dinner since we're really very hungry and we're almost starving to death! LOL!

We gave in for Iceburgs and for me this is the best place to dine in on that time since we have 3 kids with us. Since we're all hungry, anything will do. We have ordered rice meals and desserts for each of us.

It was such a tiring day for everybody. I almost slept on the car on our way home. I guess this day is a very exhausting day for me because i didn't get any sleep after my last shift. I've been awake for more than 24 hours. However, the birthday greetings that I've been receiving through text messages, facebook, and twitter are so amazing and overwhelming.
